Tom Bartz, formerly a marketing executive with Exxon, BP Oil, and Tesoro founded
Accelitec to improve on features offered by Speedpass, an in-house RFID-based loyalty
/ payment program used by ExxonMobil (with over 9 million current customers).
Bartz addressed several key areas of Speedpass that would provide traction for this
type of program in other retail categories, such as prohibitively high customer
acquisition and maintenance costs, and a high implementation burden. Accelitec |
